Hi everyone! Here’s a quick tutorial on how to make proxy grass using V-ray for SketchUp. Follow the step-by-step procedures below.
STEP 1: Using the SketchUp program, make a detailed grass or download any available 3D grass in 3DWarehouse. Here’s a sample of 3D grass made in SketchUp.
STEP 2: Using the ‘Paint Bucket’ tool, apply any available color in ‘Material Dialogue Box’. Use only one color for the entire model.
STEP 3: Under the V-Ray Materials list, Change the diffuse texture of the grass
Diffuse (Grass texture)
STEP 4: Select the grouped model grass> Click the ‘Export V-Ray proxy’ icon> Type the ‘File name’> Click ‘Save’
